Tuscan official goes ahead with Pride gay marriages

Next stop, the Vatican: As a symbolic gesture to promote marriage equality in the conservative-leaning country of Italy, the Tuscan coastal village of Viareggio has planned a same-sex wedding as part of the Tuscan Pride festivities. Cristina Scaletti, Tuscany's head of business and tourism, has pledged her support of the event, and plans to attend.
