Same-Sex Couples To Get Free IVF On NHS

By Staff on from mix96.co.uk

Baby Boom: In the U.K., NICE (the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) has proposed a new policy that would allow gay and lesbian couples to get free IVF (in vitro fertilization) if sperm donation does not take after six attempts. Gay men would also be given access to surrogate mothers. The controversial proposal marks the first time that gays and lesbians have been given access to IVF under Britain's NHS (National Health Service) program.
