Personal-contact politics: Gay man's letter-writing campaign

Love Letters: A Seattle man--Paul Thomasson--has vowed to send a personal letter, email or postcard to every person who signed Referendum 71, Washington's anti-gay marriage law, which passed in 2009. Thomasson believes that if he reaches out to these voters, he will help convince people to vote down Referendum 74, which may overturn Washington's new gay marriage legislation. The letter begins: "You don't know me, but you may soon be in a position to have an effect on my life."
