Maine for gay marriage, at least according to poll

By Staff on from bangordailynews.com

Mainers are coming around on gay marriage: After it was struck down by a voter repeal three years ago, Maine's gay marriage legislation has another shot this November, and voters are more supportive than ever. A new poll suggests that 57 percent of Mainers want marriage equality, and 60 percent of respondents (aged 18 to 34 and 55 to 64) said they would vote "yes" if the election was held tomorrow. Voters 65 years and older are also coming around, and were 44 percent in favor.
