Lincoln gay rights vote not on November ballot

Despite petitions from opponents of the new law, Lincoln, Nebraska's new anti-gay discrimination ordinance will not be put to a public vote this November, and may be left out of the city-wide election next May. Opponents had asked that the new law, which protects LGBT citizens from hate-based discrimination, be publicly decided in a referendum vote.
