LGBT Watch at the Olympics: First medal is won by an LGBT athlete

By Staff on from lgbtqnation.com

A big day for LGBT athletes around the world (warning, spoiler alert): The first openly-LGBT Olympian (out of 22 current LGBT competitors) has taken home a medal in the 2012 London Summer Games. Judith Arndt, a cyclist for Germany, was awarded the silver medal yesterday in the women's timed trail. Congratulations, Arndt! Ken Williams, at LGBTQ Nation, has more on the story.
