Halifax gay activist killed in beating outside gay bar
Breaking News: In Halifax, Nova Scotia in Canada, a prominent gay activist, Ryan Raymond Taavel, was murdered outside a gay club early this morning. Taavel was a former head of Gay Pride and the editor at Wayves magazine. Witnesses report that gay slurs were yelled during the attack. The perpetrator, a 32-year-old paranoid schizophrenic on leave from a nearby psychiatric facility, is currently being held by police and will likely be charged with 2nd degree murder.
