Gay marriage opponents closer to qualifying R-74
By Staff on Gay Marriage from seattlepi.com
Bad news for Washington state: This week in Maryland, gay marriage opponents reached more than double the signatures needed to put a gay marriage referendum on the November ballot. While not reaching quite the same number, Washington state's gay marriage opponents announced today that they met the state's signature limit as well, and by over approximately 25,000 signatures. If the signatures are verified, Referendum 74 will be on this year's election ballot.
