Gay Marriage Backed By Democratic Party Platform Group For First Time

DOMA may soon be NO-Ma! Today in Detroit, the National Democratic Party Committee released the Party's revised party platform, a document that has been the subject of much speculation over the past two weeks. The platform calls for the repeal of DOMA (1996 Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as between one man and one woman), and for the recognition of gay marriage.
