The west coast's Richard Tisei?: San Diego Mayoral candidate Carl DeMaio, a gay Republican, is getting less attention from the LGBT community that his straight opponent, Democrat Bob Filner. DeMaio has said that he will not advance LGBT rights in the city, a fact that is not sitting well with voters: “I’m proud of San Diego that sexual orientation has not played an issue in this race.
