Sexism occurs even in LGBT organizations: The women of IGY (Israel Gay Youth) have filed a petition against the organization for what it deems is sexist discrimination in senior roles, all of which are male: “In recent days we find ourselves in a familiar state of agitation, after another woman is fired in order to make way for a ‘more suitable’ man… this is even more outrageous than in other cases, since this is taking place in a relatively small gay organization."
