Bill helps gay vets affected by 'Don't Ask' policy

By thomas91 on from sacbee.com

A new bill aims to help reduce the effect DADT (Don't Ask Don't Tell) has on Californians discharged from the military for being gay. The bill states that if the federal government reinstates benefits for soldiers discharged under DADT, California will do the same. The bill would also help dishonorably discharged veterans clear their records.
