What would Joe say?: Lisa Whelchel, the former child star of the 80s sitcom The Facts of Life, is one of the newest contestants on Survivor: Philippines, along with former L.A. Dodgers second baseman Jeff Kent. Unfortunately, both Whelchel and Kent are also known for their anti-LGBT stance. On her blog, Whelchel had this to say to a mother with a gay son: "If a person desires, it is possible to leave behind a homosexual lifestyle. I know this is true because I’ve seen it come true in the lives of many of my friends. Thousands have been helped, loved, and supported by websites such as Exodus [International] and the many ministries they recommend.”
