Church blasted over anti-gay billboard
In Cape Town, South Africa, the Light of The Nations Church is under investigation by the Advertising Standards Authority for using an image of a half-naked, anguished man with the words "homosexuality," "depression," "drugs," and "lies" (among other words) around him, and the word "grace" over his chest. The billboard's tagline reads: “Whom the son sets free is free indeed.” The Church has taken down the word "homosexuality," but still faces a backlash for the message that their religious services will cure gay parishioners.
